I got a Hp V1910-16G switch and have updated it firmware to version 5.20_R1519P03.
Am trying to setup VLAN on it as listed below, however after setting the interface IP addresses, the gateway IP of VLAN10, 20 and 1 cannot be PING. Only on VLAN1 it can see the three gateway IPs.
For example I connect a laptop with IP 192.168.200.11 (gw 192.168.200.253). It does not work too when I set IP of laptop to 192.168.150.12 (gateway 192.168.150.253) I was following a vmfocus how tos titled "how to configure layer3 static routes & vlans on hp v1910 24G" I can't seem to find out what's wrong maybe you can help.
I was assuming after setting the interface IP, routing between VLANs will work naturally. But in actual the gateways IP are not ping able for VLAN20 & 10
VLAN1 - 192.168.100.253 for pc users
VLAN10 - 192.168.200.253 for IPCameras/CCTV
VLAN20 - 192.168.150.253 test VLAN
Just Resolved, since the issue was in the configuration of VLAN ID & DHCP Relay at firewall.
Tagged all the Uplink\Downlink\AP Connected ports with both VLAN IDs, created 2 VLANs at firewall below the existing interface and assiged the static IP of both the DHCP Scope's Gateway IP.
When client connects to SSID it goes through AP to Switch that takes to Firewall and that directs to DHCP Relay, DHCP broadcasts the IP through Switch and AP, AP delivers the right IP based on its Network Table configured in AP.
Thanks for the tip to put a route in. That solved an issue we had been having on a 1950.

As per my understanding , when you shutdown IRF master interface you are facing the latencey for All IP but when you shutdown slave interface you not seeing latency . This is an expected behaviour for ICMP traffic in IRF , when traffic pass thru IRF master will not have any latencey .

I've set up an HPE 1920-24G-PoE switch (JG926A) to authenticate against a Windows NPS server. Authentication is working fine, but authenticated users do not have manager permissions. I've set up a vendor-specific attribute as follows:
Vendor Code: 25506
Vedendor-assigned attribute number: 29
Attribute format: Decimal
Attribute value: 3
Essentially the same NPS policy (aside from this vendor-specific attribute) works perfectly on my Procurve 26XX switches with aaa authentication login privilege-mode set.
Any ideas what's going on?

I am trying to find out if the HP 1920S switches are gvrp or mvrp capable.
The switch can do Radius dynamic VLAN assignment and creates the dynamic VLAN even if missing, but it does not have an uplink. This requires disconnected the device and statically creating the VLAN, which would be alleviated if gvrp/mvrp was available.
If a VLAN is created dynamically by Radius you cannot define an uplink (Tagged/Trunked) port for the VLAN as it says it was dynamically created and you cannot define settings for it.
This also means I have to statically create it at the uplink switch as the switch has gvrp on and doesn't know that the switch below is participating in the VLAN because gvrp/mvrp isn't on to let it know.
Essentially, every time I need to configure a VLAN statically on a 1920S, I have to do it statically at the above switch, as well. Adding an unneccessary amount of time for each VLAN.
I have purchased two HP 1820G switches and wants to do simple LAN between two areas. networking is not establishing while connecting between switches. can any one suggest to resolve this issue, since I am new to configuration

We have changed a ProCurce 2626 to HPE 1920S. The switch is directly connected to the gateway. The switch, the gateway and all server connected to the switch are in the same subnet.
- the server can ping the switch
- the server can ping the gateway
- the server can access the internet
- the server are pingable from internet
- the gateway is pingable from internet
- the switch can access the internet
but the switch is not accessible from internet (no ping, no web access)
only the basic settings are made (IP, Subnet mask, gateway)

This is my first post here. I was hoping someone would be able to help me please. I've had a bit of a Google and even read a few posts on here that are quite similar, but not exactly the same. Unfortunately, I've not been able to find an answer to my question. Most things I've read suggest that it should just work.
A bit of background first:
We have several HPE Aruba 2930F-48G-740W-PoE+-4SFP+ (JL558A) switches on site, and I thought it would be a good idea to update the firmware. It's half term, so I can get away with doing reboots, or scheduling them to run over night. Most are running WC.16.06.0006. However, I've downloaded WC.16.08.0001 (although I've just seen that WC.16.08.0002 is out) and installed that on a few of them to test. All are working fine. The ROM version is WC.16.01.0004. This is true for the ones that have been updated as well.
I downloaded the firmware and manually uploaded this to all the switches via the GUI (we don't currently have Airwave, or any other method that I'm aware of to manage the switches) and scheduled reboots over the next few days. However, I've just found that one of these switches, a VSF stack (two switches), is a bit upset with the update. In the event list, I have a 'Major': 'Reboot of Member ID 2, Wrong OS reboot'.
On the GUI, I see Primary Software is WC.16.08.0001 (Booted), but CLI says WC.16.06.0006. I'm assuming the update rolled itself back/didn't apply?
The update has worked fine on the single switches. Looking at another one of my stacks, this time three switches, the firmware update has been successful too. However, this is running WC.16.01.0005 ROM. In addition, I manually provisioned the switches in this stack. This was done a few weeks ago, and were purchased separately for a new building.
My question is, how do I update the firmware on VSF stacked switches please? Am I doing something wrong, or could this just be an issue with this one stack? Being in a stack, I assumed the firmware would apply to all switches. I think this was the case for our previous switches - non-HP.

Hi,
Do you mean that you want clients in particular to get IP address from DHCP server, if yes, you can configure DHCP Relay on the switch. This switch cannot act as a DHCP server but as a relay agent.

I am experiencing this exact same issue. I cannot sync time or set time manually as I get this same error message. it looks like it cants right the changes I am requesting to an internal database but there are no empty fields. This is preventing me from setting up my 5 new 1950's
