Hi,
Normally this failure happens if there are not enough memory on flash or issue with TFTP server..
Are you trying via CLI or GUI?
Are you able to save/write mem on the switch?
Can you please check TFTP server and its connectivityas well?
Thanks!

HI
The switch is only manageable with the GUI, it is an HP ProCurve 1810g-24. And yes i can save configurations and so fare as i know schut ewrething be ok whith the TFTP conectin. I'm using 3CDaemon as TFTP server.
Hi,
Can you try to reboot the switch and check again and, if the issue remains then kindly log a case with support?
Thanks!
Hi!
HPE1920-24G in production, I enter through web (web management) and modify the password for user admin and apparently in the wrong place.... and now when trying to access via web with user admin and the new password entered correctly but I see nothing, all blank. I lost permissions, by telnet it is the same, always login error.
What I can do? Thank you!
Hi Martin,
I understand you need to reset your password on 1920 and the only way is to skip the current configuration from the boot menu.
I suggest you do the following:
1. After starting reboot process – press CTRL-B
2. Select 7 - 7. Skip current system configuration
3. Select 0 - Reboot
4. After reboot the current configuration file is skipped and device is accessible.
5. With “dis startup” verify the startup config file which we need to amend.
Example:
<HPE>dis startup
MainBoard:
Current startup saved-configuration file: NULL
Next main startup saved-configuration file: flash:/startup.cfg
Next backup startup saved-configuration file: NULL
6. Execute “configuration replace” command in order to retrieve your configuration.
Example:
[HPE]configuration replace file flash:/startup.cfg
Current configuration will be lost, save current configuration? [Y/N]:n
Now replacing the current configuration. Please wait ...
7. Access the local user, amend the password and save:
8. After a reboot you should be able to use your new password.

I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your help! Next week I tell you what happens
Hi,

Hello!
Where I can find MIB files for snmp management 1920S ?
There is no such info https://techlibrary.hpe.com/OfficeConnect/?SKU=JL381A
Hello,
maybe this one here? PD.02.12-mibs.tar --> https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/downloads/SoftwareReleases.aspx?ProductNumber=JL385A&lang=&cc=&prodSeriesId=&SoftwareReleaseUId=28066&SerialNumber=&PurchaseDate=
Thank you very much!
Hello
Since i've got mib files, i tried to experiment with creating ACL via SNMP
Here is oid to attach ACL to VLAN
snmpset -v2c -c $COMM $IP .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.5.7.5.7.1.1.3.2.13.1.6.$VLAN.1.1.1.$ACL i 4
Here is oid to add entry 70 into already created ACL 99
snmpset -v2c -c $COMM $IP .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.5.7.5.7.1.1.3.2.4.1.2.99.70 i 1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.5.7.5.7.1.1.3.2.4.1.4.99.70 a 127.0.0.0 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.5.7.5.7.1.1.3.2.4.1.5.99.70 a 0.0.0.255 .1.3.6.1.4.1.11.5.7.5.7.1.1.3.2.4.1.18.99.70 i 4
But if I try to create basic ACL 50 I catch error
$ snmpset -v2c -c private 172.17.9.84 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.5.7.5.7.1.1.3.2.1.1.2.1.50 i 4
Error in packet.
Reason: noCreation (That table does not support row creation or that object can not ever be created)
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.11.5.7.5.7.1.1.3.2.1.1.2.1.50
What am i doing wrong?
Hi. Has this issue been figured out? I am having a similar issue. I have an HP ProCurve 1810-24G (J9450A) running P.2.24. I can ping it no problem from the same network regardless of how I'm physically connected (via other unamanged switches attached to this switch, etc.), but the web interface only works if I physically connect to one of the 1810's switch ports directly. Is there a setting somewhere that restricts this? I have a previous generation 1810-24G (J9803A) running PL.2.10 configured the exact same way and I can connect to the web interface from anywhere on the same network including connections from other unmanaged switches, WiFi, etc. Was there some sort of MAC security feature introduced in this model? NO documumentation mention anywhere!
Hi,
The dhcp server come from router port 8 that connected to port 24 on core switch 1910-24G and distributed to switch below.
Good morning everyone
It can be configured "Rate limit" input and output with different values on the ports of the HPE 1950 switch and HPE 1920S switch
Thank you very much
Hello,
We are facing an issue where the 1920s PoE+ switches fails to give power to some specific access points and other PoE devices from other vendors (Netgear, MikroTik). The PDs will simply not power up. Are there any known compatibilty concerns specific to the 1920s switches? Is this related to PDs using different PoE modes (Alt A / B / 4-pair) and the switch not being able to serve all modes?
What has been tested:
- Different cables and surrounding hardware
- Replace the switch with a few other PoE switches like other HP, Cisco and Zyxel PoE switches of different sizes. The setup with all PDs works excellent when using an other switch.
- Replace the switch with other 1920s switches (identical) and the issue persists.
The switches involved does give out PoE on PDs of different brands like Extreme Networks. So far we suspect the issue to be related to PoE modes. All documentation mentions 802.3at or 802.3af but nothing about supported modes.
Hope to find the answer to this, cheers.
Hello
Thank you for providing such resourceful information.
I m sure it could be a great consideration for our customers and others too.

Hi,
Kindly share below commands output:
If its Procurve:
show power-overethernet
show power-overethernet brief
Or if its Comware:
display poe device
display poe interface
Also can you please check hardware limitations of the vendors which are not coming up on this switch?
Thank you for responding.
However, unlike the previous 1920 series, the 1920s series are neither Procurve or Comware - they run embedded Linux. They are also only web managed.
The units from Netgate and Mikrotik all specify 802.3af (PoE) but not the specific modes applied.
