For anyone else who finds this message hunting for answers. It appears this switch (the 12 port aggregator, not the other switches) will not accept the default (GMT+00:00) you have to select another 00:00 place like Lisbon (it didn't have London) and then everything works.

- What vlans are you using? ------ I didn't understand this, i have created 2 VLAN IDs eg:10,20 the same configured at UniFi AP( i am using HP 1920 24G switch, i dont know if it is capable of routing and will act like L3 Switch).
- How are the vlans configured over your trunk links? --- Between the Firewall I have 3 HP Switches so i created VLAN 10,20 at all 3 switches and the uplink port from firewall to HP-1 at Port No: 1 is made to Trunk, later from HP-1 at port 2 connected a uplink cable to HP-2 at Port 1 that too made as Trunk, from HP-2 connected one more uplink cable at Port 3 to HP-3 at Port 1 that too made as Trunk, the same at HP-3 connected my AP at Port 23.
- Do you have a pvid configured? No I didn't configured PVID instead at HP-3 on Port 23 i tagged by adding the vlan id 10,20
- Are you using an Instant AP? Instant AP by means??? i am using UniFi AP.

Hi,
There is a feature called Storm Control under, Security > Storm Control
The Storm Control feature protects against conditions where incoming packets flood the LAN, causing
network performance degradation. The software includes Storm Control protection for unicast traffic
with an unknown destination, and for broadcast and multicast traffic.
Storm control provides the possibility of disabling an interface on which a storm is detected to prevent
unnecessary congestion in the network. When enabled, the storm control threshold is automatically set
to 5% of port speed. If the incoming rate of unicast (with unknown destination), multicast, or broadcast
packets exceeds this value, the port moves to the diagnostically disabled state and remains in that
state until it is re-enabled by the Auto Recovery feature or re-enabled manually by enabling it in the
Port Configuration Status page (see “Port Status” on page 36). If the interface continues to encounter
excessive traffic, it may be placed back into the diagnostically disabled state, and the interface will be
disabled (link down). Storm Control functionality is applicable only to the physical interfaces.
Use the Storm Control Configuration page to configure the storm control administrative mode and to
access the Auto Recovery page, where you can configure the auto recovery settings for Storm Control
The storm control threshold percentage is translated to a packets-per-second value that is used by
the switch hardware to rate-limit the incoming traffic. This translation assumes a nominal 512 byte
packet size to determine the packets-per-second threshold based on the port speed. For example,
the 5% threshold applied to a 1 Gbps port equates to approximately 11748 packets-per-second,
regardless of the actual packet sizes received by the port.

I do not think this has the GVRP/MVRP feature, but you have the option to enable dynamic vlan creation mode under port acces contorl configuration.

on the device and the RADIUS-assigned VLAN does not exist, then the assigned VLAN is
dynamically created. This implies that the client can connect from any port and can get
assigned to the appropriate VLAN. This feature gives flexibility for clients to move around the
network without much additional configuration required

Port mirroring HPE series 1950

Je cherche à faire du port mirroring (via interface web) sur un HP series 1950 (modéle JG962A).
Je configure mon port source et destination, j'enregistre avec succès. Le problème étant qu'apréès l'enregistrement, le port source reste le GE1/0/1 et la direction en "incoming".
Le statut du port mirroring est "incomplete".
Résultat, impossible de faire une configuration comme je l'entends.
Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée pour solutionner mon probléme ?

These switches are made only for GUI use . The xtd CLI is a jail break method only to be used by TAC or somebody who understands CLI well . This password is there by default and can't be changed .

HP 1920(JG928A) Firmware Bootrom Issue
I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on my HP 1920 switch. I was on release 1114 and noticed that the latest firmware required bootrom 122 or newer. So I checked all the old versions and version 116 was the latest firmware that requires 117 or newer. The switch BootRom was 119, and from previous experience, the Boorom is updated with the firmware automatically. So I upgraded to firmware 1116 but it is still showing 119 for the bootrom.
How can I upgrade to the bootrom 122 so I can upgrade the firmware on the switch to 1121?

You shouldn't care about the BootROM because any update you're going to apply (if it is specified that the BootROM is newer/different with respect the version your Switch is running on) carries the BootROM version it requires for the specific Comware release you're updating to...and so automatically, during the update process, any available software release is able to update the existing BootROM version, if needed.

HPE 1920S 48G 4SFP ( JL382A) - MAC binding under port security

Recently , we have bought 6 HPE switches - model HPE 1920S 48G 4SFP ( JL382A) , we are unable to get MAC binding feature under port security like... binding of one printer MAC address on switch port.
Software Version - PD.01.05
OS Version - Linux 3.6.5
Can i enable MAC binding feature by upgrading Software version.
Need urgent help.

- el problema se presento de un momento a otro, se deconecto y no muestra su ip. intentas acceder por su ip que vino de fabrica, error no renoce el ip, en consola no permite actulizar el firmware o todo caso restablecerlo a modo de fabrica, bota error.
favor alguna solucion de actulizacion o un modo de como solucionar ese problema..???
